Stop-motion animation based on the novella by Neil Gaiman which follows the trials of a young girl who finds herself in an unsettling parallel reality. After moving into her new home with her busy parents, eleven-year-old Coraline Jones (voice of Dakota Fanning) begins exploring. When she discovers a hidden door, she crawls through the tunnel beyond into an eerie Other World. Initially bewitched by her strange new surroundings where everything seems to revolve around her and the button-eyed doppelgangers of her parents lavish her with attention, Coraline soon has to fight to return home when her Other Mother (Teri Hatcher) tries to force her to stay.
