Brian Henson directs this US action comedy starring Melissa McCarthy, Elizabeth Banks and Maya Rudolph. When a number of puppets who starred in the beloved 1980s TV series 'The Happytime Gang', including his own brother, turn up dead, former LAPD Detective Phil Philips (voice of Bill Barretta) reunites with his old partner Detective Connie Edwards (McCarthy) to track down the killer responsible. However, as puppets have been relegated to second-class citizens, it's not long before old tensions between the pair resurface which threaten to derail their investigation. With his former lover Jenny (Banks), the sole human star of the show, next on the hit list, can Phil and Connie uncover the root of the conspiracy before it's too late?
