This book is an adventure. It is the third volume completing the history of a Scottish town and is very rare in going right up to the present day. Most such accounts close at or just after the Second World War thus avoiding the revolutionary political, social and economic changes of the past sixty years. This book deals with this challenge head on. It starts between the World Wars when "Old Dunblane" was little changed from Victorian times. The town's significant contribution to the Second World War is described including David Stirling's creation of the SAS.
