When a nosey couple report that an elderly neighbour hasn’t been seen for a few days, local police investigate and make the grisly discovery before calling in the Major Crimes Team. Detective Chief Inspector Freya Bloom and Detective Inspector Savage lead the investigation, discovering conflicting evidence. Albert Reilly suffered a heart attack but has a single head wound. The back door is locked but a little window beside it is broken, and there is no sign of a struggle.
